With the background of a trained architect, Othman Lazraq left Switzerland to work in New York prior to joining the Alliances Group founded by his father, Mr. Alami Lazraq, as advisor to the Chairman and CEO. At the same time, he joined the Fondation Alliances as artistic director. His passion for photography spurred him to create the photographic contest La Chambre Claire, of which he is chairman of the jury.
Since 2016, when the Museum of Contemporary African Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) opened its doors in Marrakech, he has undertaken the expansion of the institution’s collection.
