In Motion

The second edition of La Chambre Claire showcased Fayssal Zaoui’s work through the exhibition In Motion. A true urban mosaic in motion, this series gathers fifteen prints and a sound photo montage dedicated to Casablanca. Drawing his inspiration from the bustle of his city, Fayssal Zaoui captures the tumultuous pace of a multiple daily life where one constantly transitions from one world to the other through the sight, hearing, smell or language. Without making any judgment, claim or reality estheticization, Fayssal Zaoui depicts the daily life of anonymous walk-on actors in the Casablanca Theater and stimulates our memories by triggering reminiscences that invite us to consider our own experience of the city.
